When the Ministry of the Environment was moving from its old premises in Myntgata, an additional objective was to conduct an organizational improvement at the same time.

In collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, IARK has facilitated solutions and features to achieve first-rate operations and improved internal interaction, along with communication between departments.

We have facilitated an open plan with group size workspaces adjacent to functional internal multi rooms, meeting rooms and social zones. Also included is an external meeting centre where we’ve highlighted original architectural details; allowing them to serve as décor pieces in fresh, newly thought out ways.

The listed historic construction from 1920 is now merged with a new modern building. This creates a time spanning contrast, which is also implemented and reinforced throughout the interiors. Reusable, innovative and old historic features are incorporated as an exciting and comprehensive expression in design.

Standard Workspace

Standard workspace with desk that can be raised and lowered. Each space is equipped with personal storage and a sound proof partition, which also serves as a shield between each space; therefore creating a personal and more private area. The desk is equipped with a specially designed tray for a laptop docking station.
