Prosjektbeskrivelse

Aftenposten and VG have moved into Akersgata 55. Our brief was to establish common areas such as reception, canteen and a meeting centre, which were to be available to both newspapers, without compromising their respective profiles and identities.

The common area is flexible and is used for a variety of purposes throughout the day. At the centre is a large dining area which is cleared each day after lunch and replaced by a stage. A media bar is located nearby with large digital news screens, newspaper tables and a food bar.

A corridor in dark green with black vertical detailing begins at the reception area and runs through the building from East to West. Via the rapid sluice gates it then links the media bar, amphitheatre and a snacks and drinks area before arriving at a lounge with soft seating, and a mingling zone outside the meeting rooms.

The areas adjacent to the corridor are given lighter colours and materials. Here one can find various dining areas, meeting rooms, teaching rooms and a kitchen.
