In collaboration with SJ-Architects’ in-house interior group, IARK will be involved in design of the new Amedia House in Akersgaten 34&36. The need for new premises arose as a result of the merging of the A-press and Edda Media, (hence Amedia) in 2012. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2015.
- We are happy to have found effective and suitable premises for our business in Oslo. Today we are scattered around three different locations in central Oslo. Our intention is to come together to assure better interaction and a better framework for developing our organisation, says corporate manager Are Stokstad.
Around 300 employees will be housed on the 6000 square meter new premises. Akersgata 34 will undergo rehabilitation and the addition of an eighth floor, whilst demolition prior to construction of a new building will be carried out at number 36. The old VG building will see new area-efficient premises with greater flexibility. The façade is given a sleek expression that interacts well with other buildings in the area.
